These Pay-It-Forward tickets are a social enterprise initiative from Nanogirl Labs. To buy your tickets to see Nanogirl Live! in Engineering Magic yourself, visit nanogirllive.co.nz
In November & December 2017, the Nanogirl team are touring New Zealand with Nanogirl Live! in Engineering Magic - a live, theatrical science tour engaging young people in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
We work incredibly hard, along with our sponsors, to make Nanogirl Live! as affordable and accessible as possible. No matter how carefully priced the tickets, however, live theatre remains an unaffordable luxury for many. In an innovative new approach, Nanogirl Labs is offering ‘Pay-It-Forward’ tickets, allowing customers to buy a ticket which will then be gifted to someone who would otherwise not have the opportunity to attend.
In buying one or more of these tickets, you 'pay it forward' - you enable a young New Zealander to engage with science and engineering, live on stage.
Research conducted in association with the University of Auckland has proven the impact of the Nanogirl Live! performances as an educational initiative – a Pay-It-Forward ticket could genuinely change a life.
Please note that while you will receive a receipt, nothing will be shipped to you when you purchase your Pay-It-Forward ticket(s). Nanogirl Labs will hold the tickets, and distribute them throughout the course of the tour.
About Nanogirl Live! in Engineering Magic
Spark New Zealand, The MacDiarmid Institute and the University of Auckland Faculty of Engineering present Nanogirl Live! in Engineering Magic, Touring New Zealand November/December 2017.
Following last year’s sell-out tour, join Nanogirl and Boris (her trusty lab assistant) for science and engineering as you have never seen them before. All new experiments and explosions (lots of explosions) - giant sparks, fireballs, and even a real life bed of nails – bring science and engineering to life in the coolest ways possible, right before your eyes.
Nanogirl explains the science behind each experiment in a way that’s fun and easy to understand. We start with a small experiment to explain each idea - often with the help of a volunteer from the audience – then take the same principle and turn it up to BIG BANG scale!
“Educational, Entertaining, and Explosions!” 5 stars
“They promised big bangs, and they delivered…Great to see scientific principles being explained.” 5 stars
